This portfolio considers the brand of Donna Karan New York (DKNY) and will analyse the DKNY website and its social media, dkny pr girl.

 

DKNY is a mid-market designer brand founded in 1984 by Donna Karan and became part of LVMH group in 1996. DKNY have stores throughout America, and in Italy, France and England, also selling through department stores, for example, Selfridges & Co and online retailer, Net-A-Porter. Head Office is in New York and digital communications programmes are planned and produced from there. The brand, perhaps because of the style and price, has appealed to women in the 40+ age group both here and abroad. The aim now is to expand its client base to include the younger market and the revamped website and social media strategies demonstrate this.
